My package includes 10 edited digital images. Does that mean you only take 10 pictures during the session?
I take tons of photos during the session! For all portrait packages (except for wedding and event photography) you will receive an email with a view-only Lightroom proofing album which includes all of the images I took during the session. I do this so you can pick which images you like best. My favorites are not always the same as the client's, so I think it is important that you are able to pick! From this album, you will compile a list of image numbers that I will use to edit and deliver your selected images.
What if I like more than the number of images in my package?
You can buy additional images for an additional fee per image. Contact me for pricing on additional images.
Can I have all of the unedited photos from the session?
Packages do not include unedited photos. Unedited photos will never be delivered to a client to download. Under no circumstances should a client screenshot the unedited proof images from the view-only Lightroom album.  As a photographer, my creative editing style is a reflection of my business, so all images that are delivered to clients will be fully edited. If a client wishes to add additional edited images to their package, they can request pricing per additional image.
How long does it take to get the edited images?
For portrait sessions (excluding weddings and events), my turnaround is typically 5-7 days from the date the client sends the list of images they want. During peak seasons, it may be longer. If there are circumstances that require a rush request, please let me know early so we can plan accordingly.
How do you deliver the images?
High-resolution, fully-edited images will be delivered to your email from WeTransfer. The email will contain a link to a downloadable folder with the images. The link will remain active for 7 days after delivery. For best results, I recommend that you download the images on a computer instead of a phone. Make sure to save the images to a device for safekeeping.
Do you sell prints?
I do not sell prints through my business, but I am happy to provide some recommendations for printers or provide files that meet a specification of a certain printer. If requested, I can provide a print release for the images.
What if I need to cancel my session after I signed the booking contract?
For portrait sessions (excluding weddings), I require the client to provide at least a 48-hour notice of cancellation. If the client cancels with less than 48-hour notice, a fee of 50% of the total session fee is due at the time of cancellation, even if the session is rescheduled for a later date. This is because I have to hold your session date and cannot book any clients for that date without a proper cancellation notice.
No-Show Policy: If the client does not show up for the session and does not provide any form of contact prior to the session about cancellation, the client will still be responsible for the full session fee without sales tax even if the session does not take place. A no-show is defined as the Client’s failure to appear at the site designated in this Agreement more than 20 minutes from the time designated in the booking contract.
What if there is bad weather on the day of my outdoor session?
Alabama weather can be unpredictable, so it is expected that some sessions will need to be rescheduled due to weather conditions. I always monitor the weather closely on the days leading up to a session. I will reach out to you if I am concerned about the weather, and we will stay in contact to make a plan that works best for us both. Cloudy weather is actually great for photography, and it is not a cause for concern. Rain, on the other hand, doesn't mix well with photography equipment and will likely result in a reschedule.
Can I book a session for someone else?
The subject of the photoshoot is considered "the client." They are the ones that must sign the booking contract and communicate with me to book the session (unless a minor or a pet). In some situations, a parent may wish to pay for a college student's graduation session, or someone may wish to gift a session to someone else. At the time of payment, the person gifting the session will provide the payment.
When do I pay for my session? How do you accept payment?
For most portrait sessions, payment is due at the end of the photography session. I can take payment through cash, check, or Venmo. Sales tax will be added to your package cost. If a client wishes to add extra images to their package, that payment is made before the additional images are delivered.
